Welcome to Dancewear of Edinburgh
Dancewear was born in 1947 in Glasgow, the first Dancewear shop in Scotland. It was opened by dance teacher Sadie Simpson & her husband Jack Coussins, initially to supply the pupils of the dance school.
In 1972 Dancewear Edinburgh opened in Castle Street. The Edinburgh shop relocated to 182 Rose Street in 1986.
Over 55 years later, still under ownership of the Coussins family, Dancewear Edinburgh is going from strength to strength. The well trained staff offer a well informed, friendly service.
An extensive range of dance goods for children and adults is available for the following disciplines:- Ballet, Tap, Modern, Jazz, Highland, Irish and Scottish country dancing. This is accompanied by a large collection of dance giftware.
Dancewear specialises in pointe shoe fitting from beginners onwards.
Dancewear stocks a wide selection of the worlds premier dance brands including Bloch, Capezio, Danskin, Intermezzo, Le Papillon, Gamba, Repetto, Sansha, Dans-ez, Tappers & Pointers.
A worldwide mail order service is offered.
